My students perform in recital at least once yearly. I also frequently prepare my students to perform in their schools, churches, and with are music groups.

Tula is on the faculty of the Shenandoah Arts Academy as harp instructor, on the faculties of the Berkeley Springs High School and Berkeley Springs Community Education as piano instructor, and maintains a private studio. As a harp student, Tula studied with teachers of the French classical school as well as those of the Salzedo school, and combines the best of both techniques into her teaching.

Performance Experience:

Tula is Berkeley Springs’ resident classical and celtic harpist. She performs regularly in concert with the group the Healing Waters Ensemble, for religious services at area churches, for area orchestras, and as a soloist in recital. She also performs in Duo Chordae, a harp and cello duet with cellist Kevin Uppercue.

I try to combine a sense of humor with a strict focus on technique for each student to develop their musical talents in a comfortable atmosphere. I believe the students bring unique talents to their music studies, and I learn about my own playing through teaching them.
